Undergraduate Program

Group of study abroad students

Study Abroad

The Department, in collaboration with the Office of Study Abroad, offers opportunities in several foreign study programs. In order to ensure that credit taken abroad will count toward the major, you must see an advisor in the department before you go abroad.

Although we strongly encourage students to take advantage of every opportunity to enhance their linguistic and cultural knowledge, study abroad is not required to complete a Spanish major.

The Department of Sociology and the Office of the Provost invite you to a Bold Aspirations Lecture on "The Reconfiguration of Immigrant Latino Families in Light of the Contemporary Immigration Regime," given by Dr. Cecilia Menjivar, Cowden Distinguished Professor at Arizona State University. Her lecture takes place on Tuesday, October 21st from 3:30-4:30 in Spooner Hall with a reception to follow.
